Have a question about the price movement on this chart.
It is DEG and a 1 hour chart. Smaller time frames have level trading then this spike down.
The spike down happened in the last 2 minutes of trade. It was 1.8 million shares and price recovered back to where it was.
Seems abnormal, what caused this and why did price recover immediately?
Was a stop loss triggered or maybe a conditional sell order. It happened during trading hours so I'm guessing it wasn't an off market trade.
You can see a similar event happened at the beginning of the current bottom.
Just interested if this happens occasionally with different stocks and possible cause.
To me someone dumped their shares and the market absorbed them effortlessly.
Will be interesting to watch future price movement.
