come on people. Try to envisage what a commercial UCG site will look like. The major question will be how many wells will need to be drilled. I am happy that LNC are increasing the distance between wells, but does anyone know what is a realistic distance between wells? Then we have to consider the pipes to get the syngas back to the processing plant and the pipes (or something else) to get the processed product out. Then the roads to make the above happen. Depending on where LNC drills, the above footprint might not be so pretty. I am not saying it will stop UCG being a commercial success but it may pose a barrier in today?s eco-friendly focused environment.
I work in finance so I have no idea about drilling, can anyone else paint the picture of the typical commercial UCG site?
