    They say that human nature will never change. I agree with that.

    The emotional reaction to certain information will remain the same.

    But hasn't the flow of information changed with technology?

    How many people in the 1920's were discussing potential deflationary times coming and to go short the index. How many were looking for head and shoulder patterns and waiting for the 3rd and final Hindenburg Omen to trigger? Not many I suspect

    Newspapers were big those days. The ability or power for anyone to find information on whatever they wanted in a flash (internet), did not exist as it does today.

    You would have relied on what the papers said, TV didn't go commercial til late 1930's and even then only the elite could afford one.

    What your neighbour's son thought about the economy was your access to 'inside information' because he wore a suit.

    It was prehistoric compared to today yet relatively little time has passed.

    The ball game is the same and so are the players, but the court or venue is always changing.
