Lending to "the young" and "largely unemployed" is not something I hope Wisr looks to do too quickly... I understand that in its original iteration (DirectMoney), it envisaged funding for such higher-risk loans via a specific Managed Investment Scheme, but that funding model appears to be costly compared to the warehouse funding model now being progressed. As far as Wisr providing a tool for saving, I don't believe (but I'm no expert) that Wisr is authorised to take deposits (currently). I'm also not sure about the need to expand internationally just yet, and I see the 50c SP target being achieved without the need for that additional cost and risk.
