Genius is a huge call, and one I nor any sane, rational person would make. So please do not put words in my mouth.
If he is telling the truth and his original purchase price was 8.3c then I would want to see the price fall a lot lower than the 10%ish today for his plan to make any sense.
So he has booked an apparently large capital gain, forgone any CGT tax discounts as I don't believe (am prepared to be corrected) that he has held for greater than 12 months, so he can buy back in around 15c?
Whilst that is a nice trade, it isn't what he has been peddling for the last few months about the 'long game'
