Its not a matter for a "conscience" vote, its a security issue. Australia views the invasion by unapproved persons as a security risk and keeps them secure until the risk can be properly assessed and dealt with.
Sure MP's can air their views, but the majority will prevail.
The ALP started the centres so I cant see much support coming from them, detention centres have bi partisan support.
