Nick Xenophon is rapidly becoming one of the senators that I dislike most.
Smooth talking former one policy preference vote harvester who now sees himself as some political demigod exerting influence well outside the original plan for senators.
These people manipulate the flaws that have developed in the intended role of the senate - a States House, a forum of review. It is now controlled by the unrepresentative.
Xenophon is apparently hugely popular in SA. Good for him and South Australians but we don't need him running the country. Let him influence local parochial aspirations, he's totally up himself at the moment (not to put too fine a point on it.)
