Turnbull has given them a lot of time to debate the bill before the budget.  It would not surprise me if he introduces the other DD triggers if this one gets passed.  They will look very weak (and he will look very strong) if they bend over 3 times in 3 weeks.

He's clearly been lining this up for months now, doing the old Sun Tzu "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak."

I doubt that the strategy ends so simply as him just accepting the bill and then nothing until the election.  Lambie and her useless mates are rooted.  At least she gets her wish:
