Credit Suisse's equities desk can lay claim to the market's biggest trade on Monday, crossing a $225 million line of Xero shares late in the day.

The broker traded the 3 million shares at $75 each, which was about a 1 per cent discount to the then trading price, late in the day.The trade followed a line of 1.33 million shares also at $75 a share, worth $100 million, that changed hands on Friday. UBS did the Friday trade.

It is not known who has been selling Xero at $75 - although there are only a handful of investors listed with more than 4 million shares.

The company's biggest shareholders are entities associated with directors Rod Drury and Craig Winkler, which had 17.7 million shares and 13 million shares respectively as at Xero's most recent annual report.
