RSM Australia is part of RSM International which is a network of independent accountants operating in 116 countries. They appear to be software agnostic but regional operations may prefer one or more vendor over another.
The announced deal is more focussed on the practice management side of the business. There is a possibility that the greater integration of data offered via GreatSoft may make Xero a preferred choice however I’ve little knowledge of the product details. Be nice to think that is the case however and it certainly cannot hurt.
