I didn't think Chinese presidents like to make internationally public statements and then go back on them. Xi, only last week, even called out Joe Biden by name for significant criticism, something never done.
Saying that China won't go to war because of its economics is like saying that Hitler wouldn't go to war because he'd risk all his imports from other European nations and further afield, which were vast.

Once achieved, it controls the best of the computer chip industry that produces the biggest single chunk of the world's supply. It will get all its coal and oil from Russia, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, and anything else it wants from Africa and certain countries form Sth America.
