What makes you think that? How did you arrive at that extreme conclusion? I haven't seen that anywhere at all. Do you have a link to show this, or are you just making it up based on the 'analysts and news sources' you use?
If you haven't spent any time considering the victory conditions for this conflict, how much time have you actually spent thinking about it, I mean what it's actually about? Victory conditions are pretty integral to ending the conflict, wouldn't you say? I think the conditions of a negotiated finish would signal in large font which sources of news/analysis had been distributing untruths and which ones hadn't, yes? I'd imagine anybody with any interest in this prolonged event would be keen to know if they had been lied to, or at least had lies fed to them. Wouldn't you?
