Oil prices tipped to remain high for rest of the year
Oct 4, 2023 – 4.36pm
Despite a 25 per cent surge in the oil price since June, strategists still expect the rally to continue for the rest of the year, with OPEC+ widely tipped to keep supply cuts in place.
Global benchmark Brent climbed overnight to $US91.02 a barrel ahead of the OPEC+joint ministerial monitoring committee meeting on Wednesday. Strategist said officials were showing no signs of easing a pledge from May to slash oil production by 1.15 million barrels per day until the end of the year.
