If Israel are determined to destroy Hamas, that means a sustained Occupation, which won't be popular with other Nations. Probably why the U.S. has sent a Carrier Group in their, as a deterrent to any other Nation.
Secondly, urban Warfare is supposed to be the worst - going Door to Door, fighting in suburbs etc
