I ran a scan that totalled the ranges of the SP over the last 100 trading days, then calculated the daily average as a percentage of the SP.. The Australian big 5 all came in last. No wonder they call America the "Land of Opportunity". Go east, young man."

An expert would not trade a security on the basis of its volatility alone.
You could go bust before you can say "Calidus".
American Banks are volatile because they are risky.
None of the large US banks appear in the world's Top 50 safest banks.
The Australian Big 4, all appear on the list because Australian Banks are better supervised and regulated.
An expert would trade a security with the highest Sharpe Ratio and dial up their risk with leverage (Capital Allocation Line)
