The simplest way to see if "renewables" are having an impact on our Energy Mix is to look at the NEM dashboard.
Right now TAS & SA is not using any coal & running on renewables.
NSW 50% split between coal & renewables.
VIC 80% coal, QLD 60% coal 40% renewables.

We need Snow Hydro 2.0 (ie: pumped hydro) to come online soon. Unfortunately the timeline is looking like 2027.
Living in the Sunshine State havent had an energy bill for about a decade!
