Not suggesting it's a savior, but its certainly part of the solution, and its only just starting to gain traction. Won't get into a discussion here around mining and recycling of renewables.
Think you misunderstood my comment. If they turned off the oil tap now, most certainly the world would be in trouble. But that's only going to accelerate the shift away from hydrocarbons to renewables and increase renewables market share. Renewables is real, and it's happening. Believe OPEC are aware of that. IMHO.
