I would suggest the post war boom of the 20th century here and in America was akin to the 1815-1880 period in Amsterdam. Great if you bought at the bottom of the cycle. Of course those who bought high in 1880 subsequently found out that houses were a poor investment. I would suggest Oztralia is having its "1880" moment at present.
