Good point @Ewebute ! With stocks like V & MA, I would put them in the fairly stable (not very volatile) in terms of earnings with few surprises (up or down). If you look at the 30 day implied volatility it seems to reflect this well with a mean of 14%.
On the other hand if you look at NFLX or NVDA implied volatility is 27% & 45% ie: very volatile (options are very expensive).
