" I said previously, the 2% target is old school using old data as the economy is very different to the 90s and especially 70s."

Giving up on the 2% target is no-school. Because above 2% means the US gov cannot afford the interest on its debt and will go broke. One way or another we are going back to 2% (or maybe even negative interest again). Europe is bankrupt too. So the choice is another GFC or big recession or both.

Forget the data, its all rigged. Right now the fed is ramping up interest on gov debt so that the banks will buy 10 trillion worth of bonds and T-Bills. If they cant sell it, the US gov. is insolvent and bankrupt. The interest paid this year alone will be more than the defense budget. If they have a GFC, the interest on all gov. debt will go to zero because the fed can print it and any interest paid to the fed goes back to the gov as dividends.

So, a GFC is essential for the US gov and Europe to remain solvent. It is just a matter of when?
