Yeah, looks like a bit of a Claytons attack => the attack you have when you don't want to have an attack.

Israel is already calling themselves the winners, so they are unlikely to attack Iran - especially with Biden saying no to that.

The whole thing has left Iran looking as weak as water, but reports are coming in that they have captured another container ship linked to Israel off the Straits of Hormuz . So, maybe the plan is to block more shipping?

I agree. Iran's paper tiger has been exposed and that could just be enough for Israel to take as a win at this stage, and move on.

In their head though, they probably wanted to regain deterrence by saying direct attacks are now part of the game. But their weak attack probably just produced the opposite effect.
