what is democracy, autocracy, theocracy, fascism, socialism, communism, feudalism, monarchies? do they exist in pure forms? how about hybrid systems? are we living in a technocracy in fact, ruled by expert opinion? (and how do experts perform in the real world, trading the market or predicting the weather? haha. does your opinion count to these experts? are they democratic?). bio power is an interesting theory re your body and technocracies. World systems theory is interesting in reference to the global connectivity you are talking about. As far as where you'd prefer to live i reckon you could have a fulfilling life anywhere. how do societies change and how is power transferred? who "defeated" Nazi Germany and Japan? where did the Japanese and Germans go? everything happening now can be contextualised by ww2 to some degree. you know that capitalist state powers, starting with the Dutch system in 16 th century, began as productive economies and ended as financialised economies before they were overtaken by a greater power that could produce more, like uk usa and the next prospect. that's late stage capitalism for ya. this time could be different bc of modern weaponry like biological nuclear etc. recommend me a book or article and I'll be interested to check it out. what i love about the markets is that they remind i can't make a consistent dollar with hair brain opinions haha
