As far as where you'd prefer to live i reckon you could have a fulfilling life anywhere. how do societies change and how is power transferred? who "defeated" Nazi Germany and Japan? where did the Japanese and Germans go? everything happening now can be contextualised by ww2 to some degree. you know that capitalist state powers, starting with the Dutch system in 16 th century, began as productive economies and ended as financialised economies before they were overtaken by a greater power that could produce more, like uk usa and the next prospect. that's late stage capitalism for ya. this time could be different bc of modern weaponry like biological nuclear etc. recommend me a book or article and I'll be interested to check it out. what i love about the markets is that they remind i can't make a consistent dollar with hair brain opinions haha

I have read that the people pulling the strings don't care what the political system is... as long as they have control over it. They leave it to us plebs to fight over ideals and they continue to make the money...
