I like the idea of the number of stocks over their 5 day average but it doesn't provide a good basis of forward guidance. If you look at the prior history on that chart, it is way too volatile. I would suggest looking at 10, 15 or 20 days average (likely 20 days as that's the normal number most base their charts on)
