Most of the growth in the world is from emerging markets, China is benefiting greatly from it as well as Russia, the global south love Russia & China, the west is locked out of all of that, the west is declining and the only growth they have is importing 3rd world migrants and printing money to give to them to spend while disenfranchising all the younger people in the west. Investments in gold are much preferred rather than western cash/fiat if someone really wants to short, buy gold, holding AUD for a market decline maybe not work out as well.
