    Sheer awesomeness

Good evening, my esteemed friends, and welcome once again to Hotcopper, the home of ClarkKent, alpha male and apex predator.
This is the only forum on the internet where ClarkKent dispenses financial wisdom while everyone else thinks of ClarkKent.
    The way it should be.

This is becoming embarrassing, my esteemed friends.
How can the ASX 200 Total Return Index (XJT) record yet another All-Time-High on a day when the Current Account Deficit blew out?

Anyway, it seems like the world's most expensive bank became even more expensive today by hitting a new ATH (not complaining, I have to learn to live with it)
It looks like the $5.40 per share that I (and thousands of other Aussie battlers) paid in the 1991 IPO was quite the bargain.

Each $5.40 (with dividends re-invested) would now be worth $900 dollars for a whopping and life transformative 16,000% return
In that period, this money machine paid out $83.41 in cash dividends and $35.75 in franking credits (talk about free-carried and then some!!!!)

Impressive as CBA has been, my esteemed friends, it pales into insignificance compared to the sheer awesomeness of CSL, which has returned 64,000% and in 4 fewer years.
