Why didn't the market pop 1000 points on news of a 50 basis point rate cut? This doesn't bode well. I still expect the gaps above to be filled (refer to my previous posts) but clearly the market isn't buying what the Fed is selling. Bulls need a massive surge into the close IMO. Maybe the "big boys" will step up to try to save it (lipstick on the pig?). Anyone else getting that 2007/2008 vibe?
We lasted 3 and a half weeks last time after this same scenario, then the wheels came off, lets see this time:
