It was greed simple as that. Same reason we are going to crash again now and why we have in the past its always the same answer, greed. The fact you bulls are desperately trying to up ramp the market (which is at tulip level valuations) on a bear thread proves my point.
P.S. History you hate so much would have taught you that. If you even understood what sub-prime was you wouldn't have asked such a question.
