EU prepared to impose countermeasures on Trump’s steel and aluminium tariffs

The European Commission is reportedly preparing to impose countermeasures after US President Donald Trump increased tariffs on steel imports.

“The tariff increase also undermines ongoing efforts to reach a negotiated solution.”


Well that escalated quickly, here we were just the other day with the retail bulls laughing at TACO Trump and now it seems the trade war is back on? Might not have been such a clever move for retail to mock Trump? I am also reading the rhetoric around China and Taiwan has "suddenly" changed .

Seems dear Mr. Trump is determined to prove everyone wrong about the TACO claim? Anyone think he will back down now? Not very likely. So I guess as Mr. Trump himself said "no more Mr. Nice Guy"? I would hate to be long going into next week, wouldn't you? .

But the funniest thing of all, just imagine if this became the start of the next major leg down? All due to retails own stupidity lol. We know its coming we just don't know what will start it. And it would be both funny and poetic if retail ended up "crashing" themselves? Sort of an own goal if you like? :
