The risk of a Sept. 11 event just went up to maximum.

According to CNN, Israel has just struck Iran’s main enrichment facility in Natanz and the Ayatollah and nuclear scientists and others.

They don't enrich uranium at Natanz. They just make centrifuges there. So this strike has avoided any nuclear contamination and appears to be meant for taking out the leadership. IMO Israel knows Iran has nukes and they are hoping for a non-nuke retaliation that will bring in the US. They are also hoping to preempt an uprising within the Iranian population and a regime change and will wait and see what happens next.

I doubt that this plan will have work. Putin would have warned Iran of the pending strike, so the regime may still be alive. If so, Iran knows they can't win a war against Israel and the US, so Iran's only chance is to go for a preemptive nuke strike against Israel, the US and others with strategic (smuggled) nukes. The plan is to demonstrate their nuke capacity and warn the west that "if you don't back off many will die in your own country". This will be seen as a big red flag by the west and who knows what could happen next. We also can't rule out that Putin and Xi are the real actors behind such a guerilla homeland nuke attack by Iran.

Hard to believe, but highly possible.
