Israel-Iran latest: Iran threatens further retaliatory strikes against Israel and ‘will target US bases’


If this is true I hope no one went long into the weekend is all I can say? hehehe. If the US is pulled in then remember China is not only an ally of Iran but relies totally on its oil. So it will get very messy very quickly. And then there is the question of the Strait of Hormuz. What happens if Iran closes them?

While I suspect realistically China is arming Iran (hence not to be under estimated) outside of that any retaliation would be economic. But after the months of struggles to get just a handshake on tentative trade deal between the US and China I doubt markets will be happy to see a full blown trade war instead.

As I have said I have never dismissed the possibility of new all time highs before the collapse phase of the crash begins (we just won't see a "melt up"), but if this happens that will no longer be on the table IMO.

P.S. Whether this sorts out quickly or it turns into something much bigger like a regional conflict as Iran might be wanting, I suspect if the war is still going come Monday I doubt many will want to take the risk. If this continue to "hot up" over the weekend we might see a lot of selling once markets open again .
