Retail sales fell 0.9% in May, worse than expected as consumers pulled back
Retail sales declined 0.9%, even more than the 0.6% drop expected from the Dow Jones consensus. The decline followed a 0.1% loss in April and came at a time of unease over tariffs and geopolitical tensions.
Can we all say the magic words together " major recession" hehehe. What retail hasn't worked out yet is, these are the numbers after they have been "padded out". Meaning in reality the numbers are much worse than they are telling us. So retail all piling in thinking we can "melt up" before the recession hits is in for the same surprise they get every time when they get "rugged".
This is why no one ever "sees" the crash/collapse coming. If we had the "real numbers" we would all see we are already in recession and be selling. But instead, they are still in the process of pumping and dumping the markets on unsuspecting retail as they always do. Remember if I can work this out markets that are forward looking already know. Its only retail drunk on Kool-Aid that don't:
