imho, it will take less than the suggested two weeks for the US to join in. Just like the nuclear talks, the two week window to negotiate is a cover. For two reasons: (a) Israel needs support earlier, given its air defence is under pressure, and is underperforming; and ( b) US requires a few more days to move its remaining military assets to the region. So I think, this is a cover; and the US will get involved potentially as early as next week.
