I've never made it a secret. It's just the timeframe... quickly first then really really slow.. going to be a very hard market to make money in. You will need to target volatility and most likely in individual shares. I expect the derivatives market will collapse as market makers go under. Therefore don't try and squeeze the last drop out of any substantial profits. As I mentioned also, the government guarantees up to $250k per bank per person.. If you have a lot of funds, you might want to start to move that money around to multiple banks. What will happen to the excess? Likely taken by the govt.
Specs all likely to go into receivership. Medium caps which are in shakey sectors likely to collapse (which sectors gain is going to be difficult to work out), and the majors... some might topple... Look out for the ones with massive debt ratios - possible short opportunities but again, don't wait until their doors close else you lose out.
If I am right with the two major institutions profiting from this collapse, then invest in their funds when it bottoms out. But if we find out they have limited share holdings, then their prices might not fall too much
