Agree, very very hard to see XJO falling 50%
Even 18%, down to 6200 seems like a massive hit....
Hard to see 6200 failing at this point..
We aren't as extended as the US markets, on any metric.
And we still have significant headroom to stimulate if required..
In an election year, hard to see any global debt, or US stock market driven crisis, not been met with a significant local response.
For me, one of the big problems with the last few years is that we have trained all market participants that the respective authorities will always do whatever it takes. This has created massive moral hazard, and this will take a while to change.
Hence, I am bearish, but not uber bearish like some here..
For sure, odds are on for a significant correction, but not 50%, like the GFC or Covid crash I wouldn't think....
