Does anyone know about the 100,000 year planetary cycle? There are times when the earth is further away and then in the sweet spot for around 10,000 years. The rest of the time we are in an ice age. Going by what the research I have read, the 10,000 year period should be ending and heading towards the cooling phase. The only thing keeping us from freezing again is our increase in carbon emissions.
I am not advocating for a continued increase in carbon, but something to consider when thinking about this topic.
