One of the Wealthion guys said something interesting in their last podcast, it was something like the market seems to be running the market up on the idea that the FED will pivot. But if FED hold interest rates at 5%, employment doesnt have a massive turn around, US gets a mild recession, nothing 'breaks' and there is a soft landing, why would the FED then start reducing rates? If everything is fine why cut the rates, it means they can reduce their balance sheet and they have a buffer so if there is a recession they 5% they can start cutting when there is a problem....
