Unfortunately, interest rates aren't the only thing affecting inflation. Not only can the fed muck around with their balance sheet, but if congress keeps pushing through huge omnibus bills (which find their way to the economy after a year or two) inflation will never be reeled in.

Titling the bills "inflation reduction" unfortunately doesn't infer any effect.

Western economies can't "manufacture" and produce our way out of it this time, either, nor find new capital from other markets.
