GS is not referred to as Government Sachs without good reason... They've loaded up their own regulator with enough alumni to sink the good ship of state.
AIG for example was on the wrong end of a trade with GS and lost so much money that it was about to bankrupt them... The trouble with bankruptcy though was that GS would have had to line up with every other creditor and would only have collected a few pennies in the dollar... Enter the concept of "too big to fail" and all of a sudden the public can be robbed of billions in order to bail out AIG so that they can pay up on their bets with GS.
This is just one example... There's no need to congratulate those crooks, they are rotten to the core.
