About the only things missing are: .... "The concern looking ahead is ........plus probably a few more" like Royal scandal, reality overload, coups to the right of me, coups to the left of me, natural disaster and, of course, another whizz-bang "I made a million bucks by the time I was born" best seller on the New York toddlers list.
Seriously, many of the points you have raised remain prevalent at all times (for example, elections, if not in the States, then elsewhere in the world). The key is in how this information /those events link together and /or should be interpreted.
