Yep, I've heard the 'not a demand problem, it's a supply problem' for at least a decade. Disingenuous at best. Idiotically clueless at worst.
Per capita, Australia actually builds housing at some of the highest rates in the world.
Direct experience probably shows you this. Everywhere I've lived in the last 10 years, I've had to constantly put up with housing construction - across the street, down the street, around the corner, directly behind. ALL THE TIME.
