I think this is a good move by the Nationals. The Libs are probably incapable of reforming. If they keep listening to their enemies and continue moving left, they are finished. I suspect this is going to be the case as they have been thoroughly infiltrated by limp wristed "conservatives". When energy becomes a major issue, and it will, the Nats will be the only large(ish) party with any credibility.

I believe the independent freedom coalition was people first, libertarians, heart party and some others I can’t remember. PHON and ToP declined, but yes I agree we may see independents combine with nats.
