Interesting chart posted on zerohedge:
Keeping a lid on domestic wages, while moving labour offshore has been very good for US corporate profits. Sales growth has increasingly come also from offshore, and while not as strong, is at higher margins. I would go so far as to say that western world unemployment has actually been good for the markets.
The risks to this little scheme are political, and possibly social unrest. But for now there don't seem to be many (in politics) questioning the arrangement.
