I only have data to 1984, a 200 period ma won't register until 2000 so there's no data to post. However I do know there was a period of consolidation prior and an aprox adjustment of the 200sma it would have given a buy signal around 22000 - 24000 which means it would have missed more than 50% of the trend, on the other side it would have given a sell around 19000 and then had to hold a 4000pt loss which would have destroyed just about anyone.
