It would be very rude of me if I didn't say that I have been reading this thread and really enjoy the "argument".

The funniest thing about the market is it is not whether the bulls or bears are wrong, it is when they are wrong.

At any given time, even a bull can become a bear and vice versa. It is when the market does the exact reversal at that point is when the biggest panic occurs. History never repeats precisely in time but usually does in magnitude.

If I were to say the markets will drop 1000 points in 100 trading days, it can drop (unlikely) 10 points every trading day or it can of course drop 1000 points on the 99th trading day.
