Hi trippers

Just thought I would report in as I have hit internet again
Observations from US trip week 1;

1. California (where I am at mo') has big issues.

2. Infrastructure (the boring thing I do in day job) is terribly run down;

3. There is defs the "haves" & "have nots" happening much bigger than in Oz.

4. seems to me anyone in the lower paid jobs is NOT DINKY DI WHITIE YANK. In fact most seem to be Mexican; is that what "made the USA" along here????

5. Spoke to a guy this morn that was a hard wood floor man (whatever that is) but he was working on a new house; value of said house $95,000,000 ... yes $95M for a house. CRAZY. Reputedly 10% of the country is hungry.

6. Thought I might drop in on Pebble Beach GC today; turns out they charge you to DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD; go figure (& they know where they can shove their golf balls.)

7 Yanks are about the most friendly peops in the world IMO. How does that equate to "world policeman roles?"

Anyway enough of my dribble; some thoughts on some posts I have read from yesterday.

BD; Deepest respect for resurrecting this thread; My rationale tells me we haven't had a boom yet so why the bust, . Me thinks 2000's were the boom; see chart below.

gilded Thanks people on here, your charting has taught me much. Australia still has some clothes on but the emperor is naked elsewhere. The piper has to be paid, so much more pain to come I feel. Some of the smarter words to be shared here me thinks!

spankyham, Could be the bottom today, but im a little impatient, in time i hope to learn patience. , patience came out very high on a recent Twitter pole of trading requirements.

& a Volt gem Of course, rules is rules, and, no one rule, rules! (Punctuation added; too many commas?)

& just a quick thought re the MA discussion that Volt & Red were engaged in a few days ago (interesting stuff); I wish I had time to run some IG/PRT backtests of of differing MA cross successes & failures; maybs when I get home (mid November). FWIW I have run many in the past & NEVER found a MA cross trading theory that passes the test of time.

Anyway to some charts; only really time here for a recap of previous posts & thought I would share some charts that set off alarms I had set prior to internet wilderness.

i know some here are suffering real pain with the market retreat & my sympathy to you. I am afraid see no relief ahead. No advice from me, but I would HATE to be long in this market; if its keeping you awake at night seriously consider why you are there!

some may recall a H&S forecast call on the dow I posted? Alive & well it seems (I hope the little fellow does not give u nightmares!) as neck has been broken.
