Margin Lending is the reason I began trading options...I WILL NOT borrow money to leverage a trade...Full stop.
Margin Lending is just a leveraging tool...however, some carefully structured on line brokers almost certainly apply margin lending to your trades whether you want to or not....
Margin Lending is used for all sorts of trade strategies...not just shorting....
CFD's by nature use margin lending???
Someone else may have a differing view or more to add?
