    Good evening Chris45,
    Great!

    --------------
    122 = 144 ∴ 212=441
    132 = 169 ∴ 312=961
    142 = 196 ∴ 412=?

    Jeeper (Fundamental Analyst) answered to the question as below:
    Since the conventional rule of algebra as below:
    a2 ≡ a × a
    ∴ 412 = 41 × 41 = 1681

    However, volaire (Technical Analyst) interrupted Jeeper and saying that "you are wrong".
    You see the historical pattern and rule:

    122 = 144 ∴ 212 = 441
    132 = 169 ∴ 312 = 961

    You just reverse the first answer.
    Therefore 142=196 ∴ 412 = 691

    At last, Mr market said both are wrong:
    The answer to the question is:
    41 × 41 = 1601
    You know, I've just changed the rule as below:

    a2 ≡ a × (a -2) + 2

    -------------------

    Sharemarket?
    There is no holy grail to predict the market.
    Mr Market changes his rule from time to time.
    He is a monstrous, omnipotent, and deceptive dictator!
    You can't change his rule.
