My training didn’t even let me know that a frequency domain could even exist. It's really funny how the world works. I had a TA idea based on difference analysis that was causing me some grief. I searched the web and found some stuff connected to my ideas, but in a totally different area involving motion control. A week or two of mucking around with this led me to some electrical engineers and from there I stumbled upon frequency analysis and its application to stock prices. To my suprise, a small number of people have been applying the technique to stocks for decades.

I suppose it doesn’t matter how we get there as long as we get there. I am envious of your training as a nuclear physicist. Good luck with it.
