There have been 3 long weekends in the US this year so far and on 2 of them the market rose on the preceding day.
So long weekends by themselves don't cause a selling bias.
However the last 2 years there has been a sharp selloff on the eve of this particular weekend. That probably isn't significant.
I really don't know but my very rudimentary indicators say the US will be up tnight and if the xjo closes over 2981
